With unrivalled passion for the yoga practice, over 15 years teaching, and thousands of hours on the mat, Philadelphia native Noelle Connolly is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading yoga teachers. Having integrated the structure and discipline of classical Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga combined with the mentorship and teachings of her beloved teachers: Maty Ezraty, Richard Freeman & Mary Taylor, Joan White, Joan Hyman and Simon Park; Noelle’s in-depth knowledge of the asana and how each one lives within the other is peerless.

The yoga teacher’s teacher, currently heading up the yoga program and teacher training program at Sydney’s Rare Studios, she has transformed the Sydney yoga landscape from a solid, but standard way of moving, to a more conscious, intelligent and inquisitive way of practicing and teaching. With a fierce love for her students and an uncanny ability to hold them accountable, the self-confessed closet comedienne uses classes to work on her material, infusing them with creativity, discipline and humour. Her greatest passion is presence, and because the yoga practice demands it, nothing fills her up more than watching her students become more present and conscious in their actions.

When she’s not running the world, a teacher training program in Sydney or Europe, a retreat in Bali, or leading one of her infamous classes, you’ll find her mastering her booty and ab skills with her latest love, pilates, going for a walk along Sydney’s iconic coastline, playing chess, cooking, or hanging out with her girl gang, eating all the good food and drinking all the wine.
